Summer 2009 is over!

Sadly, VOLoCITY 09 has now come to a close. I hope you all realize what a difference you made in our community this summer, often we cannot see the change right away, but it is there none the less. Please feel free to continue to have discussions about service and volunteer projects online. Thanks again,MalSee More

I like the hero model because you are not doing it for yourself, but for the sake of the planet and other people. A win-win situation is ok, but is just as much for your sake as the people you are doing it for. you should do it because you want to,…

Reflections #5 and #6

In this situation the volunteer and the people/organization that they help receive beneficial things. The volunteer can help out and maybe get…See More

I think that building a home for someone could be worth as much to someone else for providing them with a snack. It just depends on their situation and how grateful they are. Doing a small deed could be very amazing for someone, Yet doing a big one…

Volunteering is not necessarily a glamorous job, you get dirty, sweaty and don't get paid! A person often does not get recognition for doing the right thing or helping out, so...why volunteer?
