I hadn't gotten on Teens for Planet Earth in a while. When I first found this site I thought it was awesome. I adore nature, Earth, and learning. This site was a combination of all of that. But I live in an area where I'm pretty much the only one who thinks like that. All the teenagers I go to school with are more concerned about gossip, dating, and makeup. I'm all for looking pretty, but aren't there more important things to life?
After my weekend with my Earth loving friends, I signed onto T4PE for the first time in a few months. I'm not able to join a group because of where I live, but that shouldn't stop me from helping out where I can. I took a walk outside yesterday and saw a chocolate bar wrapper on the sidewalk. Picking it up, I saw it as a sign.
From 2:30 to 4:00 yesterday afternoon I turned off and unplugged everything (except my fridge for obvious reasons) in my apartment. I plan on doing that every day. I'm starting off with an hour or hour and a half. Then as I get used to that, and get Mom on board, I'll bump it up a notch.
So my advice for the day is to turn off your lights.
